Arctic scrub gravelly frozen slopes

Description

The reference plant community is described as an open low mesic shrub Birch-Ericaceous shrub (Viereck et al 1994). This ecological site is relatively stable but is also modeled to include successional dynamics related to infrequent fire (Landfire 2009). There are three plant communities within the reference state.

All plant communities associated with this ecological site have limited data, so the state-and-transition model is provisional.
